FMLA Tracker™ provides the total solution for administering the Family and Medical Leave Act. In addition to tracking leave for each employee, this comprehensive computer-based package helps companies comply with FMLA regulations by guiding management through the complex notification process within legally required time limits. The included FMLA Compliance Manual and FMLA Eligibility Wizard were developed by attorneys from the nationally-recognized labor and employment law firm of Ford & Harrison LLP to help you identify FMLA qualifying events.

FMLA Tracker™ Software

Contains the most common reasons which qualify employees to take leave.

- Calculates leave entitlement for employees assigned to either fixed or varying schedules.
- Documents hourly, intermittent, and extended leave.
- Records FMLA leave taken as Unpaid, Paid, Vacation, Workers’ Compensation, Short-Term Disability, or any other user-designated leave.
- Notifies users when to issue required notice forms and letters and generates them in English or Spanish.
- Tracks insurance premiums due for employees on extended leave and generates cancellation letters if payments become delinquent.
- Alerts users when employees fail to return medical documentation and insurance premiums.
- Teaches users FMLA regulations through its on-line Compliance Manual

Tracking Period Options

FMLA Tracker contains five period options: Calendar Year, User-Designated Fixed Year, Hire Date Anniversary Year, 12 Months Forward from First FMLA Occurrence, and 12 Months Rolling Backwards. It can also be configured to document and report non-federal leave mandated by state or local governments, and company authorized leave.

Comprehensive Report

FMLA Tracker generates detailed and summary reports of leave taken by a selected employee, at a selected location, in a selected department or throughout the entire company. It also reports leave available for each employee, which is essential for companies using a “rolling calendar” tracking period. FMLA Tracker reports employees on leave and those who are scheduled to return on a selected date or during a designated date range. Case Analysis reports display a complete record of all management actions taken each time FMLA leave is approved or denied.

On-line Help and FMLA Compliance Users Manual

The FMLA Compliance Manual addresses a broad scope of legal issues such as:

- FMLA/ADA overlap and “reasonable accommodation.”
- Maintenance and confidentiality of medical certification forms required by ADA.
- Company liability for failure to issue notification forms regarding leave ineligibility, leave requirements, insurance cancellation and COBRA continuation.
- Potential FLSA violations when administering FMLA leave for exempt employees.
- Complete on-line help and software tutorial included on the install CD.
