Why do we have a separate Cyber Security Hotline?
EAF responds to over 500 calls per month on various H.R. issues from our members. More and more frequently, members are having to respond to a growing number of malicious activity and cyber crimes that are corrupting the computer systems and costing the corporation thousands of dollars. Cyber crime cost US businesses $85 billion dollars in 2002. Theft of trade secrets has been increasing by 100% each year since 2000. Most frightening is the fact that 70% of the cyber crime originates from within the company and only 4% of the Cyber Security incidents are reported to upper management! This hotline will now provide members with the first-response technical guidance they need from cyber security experts at the Sylint Group.
How it works...
Members will call in to the HR Hotline at 407.260.6556, if your response requires assistance from our Cyber Security specialists, the call will be routed to the Sylint Group.
The Sylint Group will provide first defense information on:
Computer & network security issues
IT staff/employee hiring, firing and related security issues.
Computer security, forensics analysis and evidentiary material collection.
Business continuity and data recovery.
Hacking, cracking, virus, trojans, worms and malicious activity response
Cyber Security Hotline responses are intended for
educational purposes only
and should not be considered legal advice.
