Calculating Your Dues and Your Return on Investment

Dues Calculation (Sample only)
200 employees x $5.00 per employee (for profit dues rate) = $1,000/annual EAF membership dues.

(Dues are calculated by multiplying the average number of employees on your payroll (Florida only) by $5.00 per employee - minimum investment is $550/yr. and the maximum is capped at $3,000/yr.)

Return on Investment (ROI) Calculation

To help you evaluate and justify the dues investment, we have included the “fair market value” for each FREE EAF Member publication & service (see list on previous side).

Publications - If you added up all of the market values for each free member publication you receive as part of your membership, the cost exceeds $2,900.

Online Training - In addition to the free publications, the free online training can be calculated by taking the 10 courses multiplied by $20/per course (conservative market cost), which equals $200, and then multiply that by the number of supervisors or employees you feel would be appropriate to take the courses. EAF feels strongly that ALL supervisors should take the courses, but they are free and unlimited for ALL employees. If you have, for example, 5 supervisors taking the courses, you have now received a $1,000 value.

 

Hotlines - One of the main services members enjoy free is the unlimited access to our HR, Legal, Cyber Security and Safety hotlines. Most of our members average at least one call a month and the average research time is 1 hour. If you multiply 11 hours of research time by $75/hr. (avg. paralegal rate), you have saved an additional $825. If you count just one of the twelve hours as legal hotline time (average) and multiply that hour by $300/hr. (avg. labor attorney rate), you have an additional savings of $300.
